Asset Manager (m/v/x) – Brussel
Whitewood, a prominent player in real estate investment, development, and management, is on the lookout for a dedicated Asset Manager (m/v/x) to join our growing team. With offices in Brussels, Antwerp, Hasselt, and Rotterdam, Whitewood has been providing fully integrated solutions in the Benelux real estate market since 2008, creating value and space for investors and tenants alike.
About the Role:
As an Asset Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our real estate portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating on the commercial business plan during the acquisition process.
- Overseeing the execution of the business plan post-acquisition, handling all commercial activities.
- Identifying areas for improvement and alternative solutions in collaboration with colleagues and external partners.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for the building, engaging with clients, investors, tenants, brokers, and authorities.
- Cultivating strong relationships with brokers, the logistics user market, industry organizations, and networking events.
- Negotiating lease agreements with tenants and providing well-founded justifications to clients/investors.
- Setting priorities for property management departments to ensure buildings are commercially attractive.
- Ensuring smooth handover to clients and tenants in collaboration with the asset management team.
- Reporting to the MD Logistics.
Profile:
We are looking for someone with:
- A holistic understanding of real estate, recognizing that a building’s value lies in its use as a meeting place.
- Awareness of the collaboration required between Asset Management, Property Management, and Project and Technical Management for optimal asset value realization.
- A consciousness of the essential role of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in leading real estate transformations.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in economics or real estate.
- Approximately 5 years of experience in the commercial real estate market, preferably in logistics or out-of-town retail.
- Strong negotiation and social skills.
- Result-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Dutch or French, with good proficiency in the other language and excellent written and spoken English.
- A team player with strong communication and independent, structured work capabilities.
- Residence in the Brussels-Kempen-Hageland region.
